Mision and vision

 

NGO Youth Thatre was established in Cetinje in 2001, by a group of young actors, graduates of Cetinje Drama Faculty. So far we have organized two workshops (Mask as the Actor’s Other Face and Acting School) and four theatre productions (Čorba od kanarinca 2005, Creeps 2005, Mrakuša 2007, Ljepotica i zvijer 2008). We have given numerous  performances in Montenegro and abroad (Split, Rijeka-Croatia, Belgrade-Serbia, Moscow-Russia). The organization primarily aims to protect the interests of young Montenegrin performing artists as well as enable a creative approach to theatre. Bringing together young performing artists and partnering with other interested artists result in theatre productions of refined and engaged theatrical language and creative theatre workshops.

 

Exploring stage expressions (new techniques) and applying them in theatre workshops (for children, youth, students and professionals), theatric productions and new projects. In relation to this, promotion of professional development, education of members of the organization and establishing links with similar organizations. The aim is to influence public cultural awareness by well-thought-out, organized and intensive work. We wish to use new energy, enthusiasm and professionalism to counterbalance the model of official theatrical language, develop democratic atmosphere and create excellent conditions to develop critical thinking – the most important factor for making progress.
